This category is affectionately called..:

The WTF? Shoe
This is a necessary category, I find this more and more often as of late. Anything that is just, well, unacceptable will find it's way here. The perfect current example would be.. the "Hooded Sandal" or "Hooded Gladiator." My response to seeing this type of shoe after the wince and head shake is.. "Really?".. "No."

Need an example? You've probably been seeing a lot of these recently, or variations of them. Here is an example (modified to a more graphic image to not directly imply the shoe maker or company..).

Wrong. Just wrong.

Is it a shoe? Is it a boot? Whatever it is, it's just plain ugly. And this one was the nicest example I could find. Just say "NO!" ladies.

Types Of Shoes

While there are many types of shoes out there, here is just a small list of some that will be covered here:

• High heels ( 2" heels and up )
• Kitten heels ( 1.5" to 2" )
• Wedges ( exactly as it sounds, basically a sandal with a heel, typically solid sole from toe to heel in the shape of a wedge )
• Mules ( heels or slippers without anything around the back of the ankle or heel of the foot )
• Slingbacks ( heels with a strap around the back of the ankle )
• Platforms ( shoes with a very thick sole and heel )
• Stilettos ( typically high spiked heels )
• Stripper shoes ( what you would find in a strip club, min. 6" heel with platform, for the naughty girl in all of us )
• Novelty ( exactly what it says, fun shoes )
• Sitting shoes ( gorgeous shoes, but too uncomfortable to stand or walk )
• Boots ( shoe with taller more full upper coverage )

Again, there are others, possibly to be added as time goes on.
